Report on the Alumni Meeting 2024-25
The Alumni Meeting of Government Arts and Science College, Chelakkara, was successfully
conducted on 8th February 2025, both online and offline, with a total of 44 students
participating offline and 62 students attending online.
Agenda:
1. Welcome address and introduction.
2. Formation of the new Alumni Executive Committee.
3. Decision on Alumni registration deadline.
4. Scheduling of the annual Alumni Meet.
5. General discussions and concluding remarks.
The meeting commenced at 10:30 AM with an opening note of gratitude towards all
participants, faculty, and staff for their support in organizing the event. The Principal, Prof.
Dr. Bloomy Joseph, played a pivotal role by providing continuous support and guidance,
ensuring the event’s smooth execution.
Special acknowledgments were given to Aswin and Ramjith, whose presence and active
involvement helped in managing the event seamlessly. The College Union
Chairman,Sanchana, also extended her support throughout the meeting. The diligent efforts
of Soumya and Chandhini in making necessary arrangements prior to the event were greatly
appreciated.
The contributions of the outgoing Alumni President, Mr. Presennan, and Secretary, Mr.
Mahesh, were recognized for their leadership and service.
Executive Committee Formation:
During the meeting, the new Alumni Executive Committee was formed with Mr. Vimal Vasu
being elected as the President. The team expressed enthusiasm for future initiatives and plans
to further strengthen alumni relations and involvement in college activities.
Key Decisions:
It was decided that Alumni registration should be completed by 31st March 2025 to
streamline member enrollment.
The annual Alumni Meeting will henceforth be held on the first Sunday of May every year,
ensuring a consistent date for all future alumni gatherings.
For the upcoming 2025-26 Alumni Meet, the next gathering is scheduled for Sunday, 4th

The meeting concluded with a note of appreciation to all alumni members, faculty,
and staff who participated in the event. The involvement of both online and offline
participants ensured the success of this gathering. The faculty expressed their hope for
continued cooperation and engagement in future events.
The newly elected Executive Committee, led by Vimal Vasu, looks forward to fostering a
stronger alumni network and contributing to the growth of the institution.
